Women's Multiproduct Fashion Jersey Designer

This is an opportunity for a trend lead women’s multiproduct fashion jersey designer to join a small private label business, where you can really make the role your own.

Working closely with the sales and merch manager, you will be responsible for the design and execution of women's jersey product whilst also designing woven soft separates, for two UK high street retailers.

Day to day you will be researching the market via shopping trips to remain aware of and implementing direction and innovation across fabric, colour, shape and prints; creating on-trend, forward-thinking, yet commercial designs for the showroom and in response to briefs; producing accurate and detailed CADs to present to buyers and technical packs for product development; presenting ranges to customers in person in a confident manner; communicating effectively with sourcing teams largely in Asia; and overseeing the development of sampling, ensuring deadlines are met.

The role will suit a passionate, creative and proactive women’s high street jersey design specialist with a sound knowledge of processes and the ability to produce commercial product. Expertise in soft woven separates would also be beneficial.
