As the Warehouse Training Lead at our cutting-edge Omega Distribution Centre, located at the Omega Business Park just off Junction 8 of the M62, you will ensure that all warehouse colleagues receive the necessary training to perform their roles safely and effectively. You will oversee the delivery of comprehensive training programs, including health and safety, job-specific, and leadership training, ensuring compliance with H&S regulations.

Working closely with the Leadership Team and Trainers, you will develop and implement training plans that meet operational demands while tracking and reporting on training compliance. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement of training content and delivery methods, adapting to the evolving needs of our state-of-the-art, automated warehouse.

In this role, you will guide and coach Trainers to maintain high-quality training delivery and identify development opportunities within the team. Your efforts will support a safe, efficient, and high-performing workforce at this pioneering facility.

40 hours per week

9 hours shifts with a 1-hour unpaid break
Any 5 days from 7


5.6 weeks paid holiday per year including bank and public holiday allowance rising to 6.6 weeks upon 5 years' service

Job Overview
Training Plan Implementation: Collaborate with the Leadership Team, Trainers, and stakeholders to deliver warehouse training programs, ensuring alignment with operational goals and compliance with H&S requirements.
Compliance Management: Maintain and validate training records to ensure 100% H&S compliance, regularly reviewing and updating training content to meet regulatory standards.
Annual Training Plan: Develop and review annual training plans with the Leadership Team, ensuring they meet both current and future operational demands.
Coaching and Development: Provide feedback and coaching to Trainers, supporting the continuous improvement of training delivery and identifying opportunities for colleague development.
Training Evaluation and Reporting: Deliver regular training compliance reports and KPIs to operational stakeholders, helping to drive performance improvements through data-driven insights.
Talent Development: Collaborate with the Leadership Team to identify top talent within the operational teams, implementing targeted training initiatives for further technical and leadership development.
Learning Techniques Facilitation: Employ various learning methods, including face-to-face, group, blended, and digital delivery, to ensure effective and flexible training experiences.

Minimum Criteria To Apply
Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment is desirable.
Certified in manual handling equipment training, including forklifts (reach and counter-balance).
Experience in planning, delivering, and reviewing training plans.
Strong coaching and team support skills with proficiency in LMS and LRS.
Effective communicator with excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
Desirable: Level 3 or above qualification in training, learning, and development.
