What you'll be doing

With support from the Digital Marketing Manager, be accountable for setting the social media strategy and reviewing on an annual basis.
Be responsible for creating & publishing organic, campaign, always on and reactive communications across all social channels, in line with the brand strategy and customer plan. 
Manage the relationship with our external influencer agency and platform partners such as Meta and Tik Tok, as well as working closely with our internal creative agency, Zest.
Take the lead on the development of content creation and implementation of organic and influencers, in line with the brand strategy and customer plan.
With support from our agency, deliver the influencer programme, this will be a combination of always on, product and campaign-based activity.
Be responsible for our social media management software and tools.
Accountable for the measurement, insight and reporting of social and influencer activity.
Oversee social governance for the brand ensuring any new activity on social platforms meets our guidelines.
Act as a consultant to support the Brand Communications Team on social creative execution.
Manage large budget content briefs from initial agency briefing through to creative idea development, production, and implementation. 
Innovate within the social space, leveraging our agency and platform relationships to give us access to industry firsts.
Line managing the Social Media Associate.

How you will succeed

Deliver a consistent drumbeat of Organic and Influencer content throughout the year, aligning to the key brand objectives for Argos.
Acute attention to detail, delivering campaigns at pace and with accuracy.
Passion to drive the Social agenda within the business, showcasing what success and growth in this area could look like for the Argos brand.
Entrepreneurial and ‘can do’ attitude to help drive change.

What you need to know

Essential

Experience leading a social channel and/or Influencer programme in a large organisation.
Ability to deal with multiple stakeholders and manage project delivery across several different teams and agencies.
A creative eye for developing social first content, and keen interest in the digital marketing landscape.
Knowledge and experience of Social Media platforms and management tools.
An interest in personal development and education.
