Our Security Operations Centre (SOC) are recruiting for a unique opportunity of an Assistant Manager to join our one of a kind team here at Harrods. This role is responsible for overseeing the functioning of the Security Operations Centre and leading the team diligently. As an SOC Assistant Manager, you will also be responsible for prevention and detection of offences against the Company, its colleagues, customers, and assets to maintain a secure and safe environment for our people and our sites.

About the Role

Our Security Operations Centre Assistant Managers are accountable for delivering an industry leading security offering to the business and its stakeholders, and operate in compliance with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) guidance and SIA CCTV codes of practices – as well as Harrods processes and procedures. In addition to the complete security function of the site, the SOC Assistant Managers are fully responsible for the Knightsbridge site out of store operating hours, including the accountability and duty of care for all personnel on site.

The Security Operations Centre Assistant Managers lead a team of CCTV Operators and are responsible for driving performance. Leading by example, the SOC Assistant Managers are the force behind the development and growth of the Security Operations Centre team. Our SOC Assistant Managers ensure there is optimum cover across the team at any given time, respond to and address reports of all criminal or suspicious activity, and operate and monitor the systems within the control room – ensuring compliance with all levels of guidelines.

The role also necessitates a 4 on 4 off shift pattern that may include working at other company premises and will include weekends, night work, Bank Holidays or Public Holidays as normal days of work. Additionally, extra hours and/or days of work maybe required and/or changed by the department, but with adequate notice (typically 48 hours) and therefore a flexible approach is needed.

About You

You will have previous experience in a managerial capacity of a CCTV Operation Centre. You will be confident in your knowledge of CCTV Operations and leading a Security Operations Centre. You will be a confident people manager who has experience in motivating and driving team performance.

You’ll also have:

Experience in complying with DPA legislation, ICO guidance and the SIA CCTV codes of practices.
Exposure to taking charge of control room incidents
Strong IT skills (MS Office and Outlook)
A strong attention to detail
Passion for nurturing and developing a team
The confidence to engage with all levels of the directorate in the business
