Our client is a successful supplier of quality intimate apparel, to a UK high street customer base.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced account manager to join their expanding team.
The role will involve:
• Managing existing business accounts across swimwear, nightwear and lingerie, ensuring a high level of customer service to the brands and retailers you supply
• Liaising closely with merchandising, design and QA/Tech teams to ensure seamless handover of orders for production
• Visiting customers throughout the UK as needed alongside designers to present new trends and product ideas
• Attending fit sessions with garment techs
• Managing budgets and profit margins in line with agreed targets and KPI’s
• Visiting factories/suppliers in China, Cambodia, Vietnam and other countries, both existing suppliers and helping to source and onboard new ones.
• Keeping abreast of the market with travel to trade shows and shopping trips both domestic and worldwide.
• Always looking for new sales opportunities, whether increasing and growing existing accounts or developing new ones. Working to agreed targets.
• Being the face of the company to both suppliers and customers alike
• Negotiating costs with suppliers to meet internal and customer margin expectations whilst ensuring product is fit for purpose and on trend.
Candidate Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have excellent people skills, team working and a positive attitude are essential as you will need to guide the direction of designers and ensure merchandisers are following the critical path dates to meet delivery. Previous experience within a similar role within the fashion or related industry is essential.
