Harrods IT provides the technologies that support all of Harrods operations, including our luxury store in Knightsbridge, trading locations across the country and internationally. The IT services are supported by a mix of in-house technology teams and 3rd party technology partners.

About the role

The role of POS Support Analyst is to support and deliver change to the systems that enable essential trading operations in the UK, focussed on EPOS and Scales. The systems we support are arguably the most critical to business operations and as such the work we do must be of the highest standards.

The role is to be an active member of the Retail Systems Delivery team delivering change and support to the systems that we manage. From fixing production issues not only through their immediate resolution but also understanding and resolving root causes, through interaction with internal teams and 3rd party partners (Principally Enactor and Bizerba) to project testing and delivery. The successful candidate will have exposure to critical business systems and will take pride in understanding and supporting them.

About you

Our ideal candidate will have experience working within standard IT controls, as well as experience working with retail EPOS systems and related technologies, including Enactor or Retail J. You will also have experience of working with Windows based systems and databases such as SQL and Derby, as well as working to ITIL and or Prince methodology.

You will have project management and process mapping experience. You will also be an excellent communicator with a strong customer service focus when dealing with both internal and external parties, as well as the ability to build strong relationships across the department and business.
