About the opportunity:
The role of Payroll Coordinator will be part of a small team that provides an efficient and cost-effective payroll function, supporting the Burger King Restaurants and Head Office.
What you'll do:
Support the Transactional Finance team with month-end process and reports.
Managing and maintaining high levels of service, while maintaining strict confidentiality on all salary-related matters.
Supporting Payroll processing using Fourth platform; maintaining high levels of quality and service, ensuring prompt and accurate processing, payment, reporting and record keeping of payroll.
Ensuring accuracy of data for payroll input in system (Fourth) with minimal errors. Work closely with the team to ensure processing of all relevant monthly/fortnightly payroll changes.
Ensuring that all payroll-related information i.e. payments and deductions etc are calculated, recorded and processed accurately and promptly in accordance with the relevant legislation / guidelines.
Dealing with staff queries with clear, effective and professional communication and providing quality advice.
Keeping updated with legislation changes affecting the payroll, as well as HMRC rules and processes.
Preparing Manual calculations (when required) supporting in Year End Audit Requests.
Undertaking any reasonable task or activities directed by the Payroll Manager.
You will:
Be able to demonstrable experience of working in a payroll function and processing high paced Fortnightly and Monthly Payroll.
Have experience of end-to-end Payroll processes.
Have knowledge of Fourth system.
Have good understanding of UK payroll-related legislation and statutory requirements, including PAYE and other deductions, Pensions autoenrollment and HMRC rules.
Have good attention to detail and accuracy of data.
Be able to communicate clearly, effectively and confidently with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels on matters of longer-term significance.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of high standards of service to others and monitor service levels to ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
Confidently apply knowledge and skills, taking initiative to solve problems and generate practical solutions.
Work towards demanding goals with general supervision.
