Our Harrods Own Label team are now looking for an Assistant Buyer to join us here at Harrods for a 1 year fixed term contract.

About the Role

As our own label team deliver a new strategy, we are looking for an Assistant Buyer to support on own label product development for our Home & Stationary collection. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, contributing to sales targets, managing critical paths, and representing Harrods with top-tier suppliers.

Your key responsibilities are as follows:

Run sales reports, analyse data, and prepare responses to trading activities.
Contribute to P&L reporting and respond quickly to Open To Buy spend.
Keep lessons learned and strategies up to date.
Conduct regular competitor shops and market analysis.
Assist in all stages from briefing to launch, ensuring stakeholder accountability.
Manage supplier documents, sample tracking, and product quality.
Brief Planograms to VM Implementation team and ensure accuracy on the shop floor and online.
Coordinate vendor training and range presentations.
Maintain weekly communication with key suppliers and manage the critical path for product development.
Oversee the Buyers Administration Assistant, ensuring task efficiency and development.

About You

You will be a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual with excellent PC literacy, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with Illustrator and SAP as a plus. You’ll also demonstrate a strong service focus, adeptly handling interactions with both internal and external stakeholders. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a naturally tenacious attitude, are essential. Moreover, you should exhibit excellent time-management skills, the ability to multi-task effectively, and a readiness to adapt to dynamic priorities.
