Our client a leading global food retailer, is looking to recruit for a head of loss prevention and health & safety to oversee the UK and Canadian markets. As one of the largest companies in the world, this retailer specialises in providing the highest quality product to its customers. The company has a highly people centric culture and is continuing to dominate the food retailer industry.

The role of head of loss prevention and security will partner with stores across the UK and Canadian market, to act as a business partner to senior leaders in store, to drive the asset protection agenda. Your role will be to identify areas that are open to threat, work on effective ways to minimise risk and engage with colleagues at a store level to see asset protection as an important part of their day-to-day role. You will spend time in stores building close relationships with the teams in the UK. The role also covers the Canadian market and you’ll be required to spend two weeks per year, working in the Canadian market. You will also pick up in-store health and safety as part of your remit.

We are looking for applications from candidates who have a strong background within loss prevention and security within the retail market, with experience in managing in-store health and safety. Experience working internationally is advantageous but not required so this role offers an excellent opportunity to broaden your experience across the international retail market. Must be able to build relationships with store leadership teams to achieve program goals and improve training and regulations in stores.

In return the role is paying up to £85,000 as a basic salary, depending on experience. The role also comes with a comprehensive benefit package including lucrative share options, a bonus of up to £17,000 per year, healthcare and enhanced pension. The working hours are typically Monday to Friday with three days spent in London stores. There will be an element of travel to Canada for 2 weeks annually.
