Some site visits are also required Salary range - The salary range for this role is set at £35,500 - £53,200 per annum. For this position, we are seeking candidates with salary expectations in the range of £35,000 - £45,000. About the role It is an exciting time to be working in the Partnership’s Property team with ambitious growth plans for the Waitrose store estate. In the next three years there are plans to open 100 convenience stores as well as some supermarkets. We are currently recruiting for a Location Planning Specialist on a 12 month fixed term contract. Working in the Real Estate team you will assess potential sites for new shops in support of our line of business growth plans. This role will be primarily focused on Little Waitrose convenience stores, however there is an expectation that you will support the team with site assessment activity as required and in either line of business. Site visits will be required. Following identification of a new site, you will work with the Acquisition Managers to produce timely sales forecasts based on your previous experience, use of location planning tools and on-site assessment. You will also be required to work with the Estate Planning Manager to keep track of competitor activity in the market, predicting the impact of openings and closures and keeping an accurate dataset. Key responsibilities of the role will include: You will produce sales forecasts for new stores, making recommendations to the business on site viability and present your findings at the Sites meeting. You will support Acquisition Managers with catchment analysis providing data. You will review performance of new shops post opening and support the Location Planning and Assessment Manager in making clear recommendations. You will maintain the data relating to competitors in each geographic catchment. This will include commissioning data from external market suppliers and managing their performance. Essential skills you’ll need Relevant degree or experience in location planning Experience of working with GIS tools and large datasets Curiosity for retail, customer behaviour and demographic data. Good knowledge of Excel/Sheets and Powerpoint/Slides.
