Roles Available: 7.5T C1 Driver Various Positions: Driver Technician, Driver Installer & Customer Delivery Trainee (CDH) Pay: £28,500, annual (Installer CDH), £32,090 (Technician) & £12.50 per hour (Customer Delivery Driver Trainee) Position: Permanent Hours: 41 hours (4 day week, 5 week rota includes 3 Saturdays and no Sunday or bank holiday working required) - 06:00 - 17:00 Monday to Saturday (various days shift pattern available) Location: Cranbrook Way, Solihull Key Responsibilities Your day will see you start at the delivery hub you are based before heading out on route where you're responsibilities will include: - Being an ambassador for the John Lewis brand with great customer service as your number one priority. - Helping load up your lorry with the days deliveries working alongside the warehouse team. - Demonstrating great respect and courtesy for the customer's home and handle unexpected situations to find the best possible solution for your customers. - Installing products efficiently and quickly for our customers and demonstrating how they work once installed. - Keeping up to date with new products and technologies to help you perform your role at your best. - Maintaining a safe working environment. Essential skills/experience you'll need Previous experience of installation is required for this role and we'll assist in topping up your knowledge with our very own installer accreditation. Other required skills and experience include: - Manual C1 UK driving licence (with a maximum of 6-points) - DCPC (Drivers Qualification Card) and Tachograph Card. - Previous experience driving a 7.5 tonne vehicle. - Previous experience in a customer facing role. - Great verbal communication skills both over the phone and face to face. - Able to cope with the physical requirements of the role (you will spend a lot of time delivering large items such as sofas, white goods, sports equipment, furniture, beds, and mattresses). - Good understanding of technology. Desirable skills/experience you may have - Installation and disconnection of white goods. - TV installation. - Assembly of flat pack. Our working environment is important.
