Uniqlo is set to open its first store in Vietnam in Ho Chi Min City on December 6th. The store will be one of the retailers largest in Southeast Asia.
The opening will mark the retailers first step into the Vietnamese market, already having a presence in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, the Phillipines and Indonesia. There are currently over 200 stores in the region, and Uniqlo plans to have 400 by 2022.
The Vietnam store will span over three floors and cover a total of 3,000 square metres of floor space.
“Uniqlo Dong Khoi is one of our largest Uniqlo stores in Southeast Asia, and we hope it will become a magnetic new focal point of Ho Chi Minh City's lively retail scene,” said Osamu Ikezoe, co-chief operating officer of Uniqlo Vietnam.
“The store will offer both Saigonese people and international visitors a unique shopping experience, with a full line up of LifeWear on three levels.”
The brand will launch a visual campaign featuring Vietnamese celebrities and personalities in order to introduce the brand to the local consumers.
