Uniqlo has reported a 9.9% increase in comparable sales, as its summer ranges and other summer items proved to be popular.

Increased footfall into its stores helped to balance out the dip in average purchase per customer.

This is a big bounce back for the retailer, after sales in July dropped by more than 10%. 

The results will be welcomed from the company, following recent controversies in South Korea linked to Japan’s role there during World War II and a current trade war that has prompted anti-Japanese-business sentiment from some Korean consumers.
