Uniqlo has opened its first store in Vietnam.
The store is located at 35-45 Le Thanh Ton Street, District 1, Ho Chi Mihn City. The retailer has said that the store is a “new milestone” for it in what it believes “will be one of its most important markets anywhere in the world.”
Founder, chairman, president and CEO of the group, Tadashi Yanai, added: "The opening of our first store in Vietnam represents a truly important step in the global development and expansion of our company.”
The retailer’s Vietnam director general and COO Osamu Ikezoe said it’s aiming to make its business “reflect the culture and needs of Vietnamese people, and to make a long-term positive contribution to society here”.
