Hotter has expanded its design team as it approaches its 60th anniversary.

Hotters new chief product officer Claire Pearl led the appointments.

Helen Kundra has been hired as senior designer following previous roles at Timberland and Hush Puppies, with Dawn Linley-Hill being appointed as senior freelance designer.  Camilla Andrews has also joined the team as a freelance designer to work on the company’s accessories range.

They will all work alongside Andy Taylor, who is Hotter’s current senior designer.  Taylor has been with the business for ten years.

Pearl said: “I have brought together a design team with a spread of expertise across several key areas that are fundamental to our brand’s development. We are already working closely on defining our DNA and I am confident this team will deliver on the thoughtful design and attention to detail demanded of this level of the market.”

Ian Watson, Hotter’s chief executive, said that the appointments come at an exciting time for the business, as it approaches its 60th anniversary next year.

He added: “We have a raft of measures throughout the business to guarantee its future development, but product is truly at the heart of everything we do. Claire’s team will build on iconic Hotter styling and elements whilst introducing a more stylish, modern and relevant emphasis to our offer.  I am confident the team will propel us forward as we continue to delight and surprise our customers and create more Hotter fans.”
