H&M has opened its first store in Belarus.

The opening saw over 2,000 customers on the day, with the first customer receiving a gift card worth 300 BYN after queuing outside the store from 2pm the previous day.

H&M provided coffee to its customers in the morning, as well as performances from DJ Laurel and ZENA.  The staff also performed the signature H&M opening dance.

The store is situated in Galleria Minsk, and spans 1,757 square metres over two floors.  It will sell H&M clothing men, women and children.

Saed El-Ashkar, H&M country manager in Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus, said: “We are very happy to open the first H&M store in Minsk! Now everyone in Minsk will have the opportunity to buy fashion and quality at the best price in a sustainable way in our new store.”
