Gap has launched two new denim collections to commemorate its 50th birthday.

The two ranges are called ‘Denim Through The Decades’ and ‘1969 Premium’, and are inspired by key designs pulled from the brands own archives.

This comes after the launch of its ‘Its Our Denim Now’ campaign in July.

The 'Denim Through The Decades' collection offers a snapshot of the brands personal history, and will include jeans, tops and jackets for both men and women.  Some of the key pieces include flares in shades indigo and burnt orange corduroy inspired from the 70’s, wide leg carpenter fit jeans from the 80’s and high-waisted, tapered jeans in 100% cotton form the 90’s.

The '1969 Premium' collection will see the 'Denim Through the Decades' collection bought into modern day, featuring denim and non-denim styles for adults, kids and babies.  The range includes Japanese selvedge denim styles, as well as oversized and pleated denim jackets, a high-rise denim skirt, a boiler suit and a selection of Western shirts.
