Dunelm is launching an initiative in which it will train all of its store café staff on mental health awareness.

Staff who work in Dunelm’s Pausa coffee shops will be taking part in dedicated workshops where they will learn about mental health and how to recognise key warning signs.

The news comes as Dunelm embarks on a two-year partnership with Mind in England and Wales, the Scottish Association for Mental Health and Inspire in Northern Ireland to support mental health across the UK ahead of World Mental Health Day on 10 October.

As part of the collaboration, Dunelm has set a fundraising goal of £1 million, but will also be ensuring that staff members are suitably skilled and have the right resources and signposting in-store should someone need mental health support.
