Co-op set to open first North East franchise at Newcastle University

The Co-op is set to open its first North East in partnership with Newcastle University Student Union.

The existing students’ union store is going to be extended and refurbished in time for Fresher’s this September.

The store will span over 2,500 square feet and will be managed by Newcastle’s University Students Union.

Martin Rogers, Co-op’s head of new channels, said: “This is an important development for Co-op.
