According to Drapers, Bonmarché could close 100 stores if the business cannot be sold.
The business will look to close 100 of its 318 UK stores as it continues to assess its options for the future.
The retailer appointed advisers from FRP Advisory last month to assess its options whilst it continues to trade.
Stores in Berwick-upon-Tweed in Northumberland, Market Harborough in Leicestershire and Kirkclady in Scotland already have “closing down sale” signs in the shop windows.
