Asda is holding the prices of over 500 branded and own-branded products as part of a new price lock.
Running until the end of August, the initiative covers store cupboard essentials such as cereals, pasta and tea, as well as fresh and frozen items like salads, burgers and ice cream.
The move follows the publication of the latest figures from the supermarket’s Income Tracker, which show that household disposable incomes continue to fall on a month-by-month basis.
Asda is also running a limited time trial which gives customers the chance to try out its delivery pass service, which removes the delivery charge on online orders. Customers can access the trial until 10 July by signing up to one of Asda’s delivery pass services.
