Arcadia’s group COO David Shepherd is said to be taking an early retirement at the age of 55.
Shepherd played a key role in the group during his 25 years at Arcadia, where he started by working on the shopfloor on Saturdays at the Topshop flagship on Oxford Street. He was also responsible for the turnaround of Topman, where he served as brand director.
With the company moving forward with its store closures and recovery programme, The Telegraph reported that ‘another resignation could also be on the cards.’
This weekend, the company denied reports that Sir Phillip Green and group CEO Ian Grabiner were planning to gradually break the group up.
