I always say the difference between a good and great store manager is how you manage your team to get results. Good store managers will drive results through praise and incentives and although this is necessary, if this happens too often then you may find that your team will not do anything without this. Great store managers give each team member a personal development plan and base the steps around their individual achievements. It is fact that employees perform better with a clear succession plan more than an extra five minutes at lunch!
