It's been six months since we launched The Retail Appointment and the time has just flown past. Our website and magazine have grown from a mere wisp of an idea into a fully-fledged job board with over 2,500 retail vacancies and a monthly retail careers publication that reaches 20,000 people every issue.
Out list of clients has blossomed and we're now hosting retail, hospitality and leisure jobs for nearly 100 companies across store management, merchandising, buying, HR and more. If you haven't yet checked out all our advertisers, take a look here.
We have sent 8,381 retail news articles to our subscribers (become one here) and this will be our 35th blog post. In terms of career advice, we've written about how to negotiate a pay rise, how to use networking to advance your career, how to avoid the deadly sins of CV writing and how to prepare for assessment centres. We’ve covered many more topics and have more advice and features being uploaded all the time, so take a look here and keep checking back to see all the latest content.
Meanwhile, thousands of jobseekers have registered their CV with us, meaning employers can get in contact with them directly (but their current company can't even see them in our database - a massive plus when job hunting!).
We've come a long way in just six months and we've got so much more planned for the future, but for now we're going to raise a glass of bubbly and say thank you to our team members, our clients, our partners at Retail Human Resources and Fashion & Retail Personnel and most of all, everyone who has visited our site, read our magazine, followed us on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter and found a great new career with us.
Here's to the future and don’t forget that our site is constantly improving as we work to give jobseekers the best possible experience so let us know what you think in the comments below.
The Retail Appointment Team
